Overwrite Default Value in Variable
Basically I have a LOAD_DATE variable, that holds the load date of the current run. At the beginning of my outer job I select the latest LOAD_DATE from a SQL table and update the variable. This date is used in the ETL to audit records and set close dates for records etc.
Problem is if the load fails for any reason my support process involves them click RUN FROM COMPONENT wherever it failed (after fixing the problem) but then it resets the variable and it's back at the default value (because the setting of the variable is at the beginning of the job).
Is there a way to overwrite the default value for a variable via that initial Python script. That way a mid-way restart will pick up the correct variable?
