How do we use Netsuite SuiteAnalytics

Hello,
I know matillion Netsuite connector is using SOAP based web services to extract data from Netsuite but Netsuite also has SuiteAnalytics which is kind extracting from database using JDBC/ODBC driver. Is there any plans to build a netsuite connector using this approach. If not is there a way extract data using custom database connector.

Thanks

Hi Raghu,

I’m not aware that we have any immediate plans to add support for SuiteAnalytics. Would there be a business or technical benefit to you if we did so?

Apart from simply copying files around, which is of course the primary fallback mechanism, Matillion has two main ways to add custom data connectors:

  1. Using a REST API
  2. Using a JDBC connection

You can take advantage of either of those techniques for any system which provides a REST API or a JDBC driver respectively.

Best regards,
Ian

Ian, one benefit of leveraging SuiteAnalytics is that it provides a read-only version of NetSuite along with supplied xDBC drivers. The Connect Viewer provides the references to foreign keys and generally makes it easier to navigate the data along with access to system tables. Is there relatively painless way to add the NetSuite JDBC driver to the Database Query Component?
https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/netsuitecs_gs/NSALC/NSALC.pdf provides some documentation on the subject and apologies in advance if there is nothing in this post that is an unknown to you and the team.

Hi Christian,

Yes, there’s a relatively painless way to add JDBC drivers to Matillion. Please see this article and let us know if you have any questions: Adding A 3rd Party JDBC Driver

Best Regards,
Dave
