Hello Satya,

Could you tell us a little more about the scenario and what you’re trying to achieve? sysdate can be ran in many of our components that provides a SQL scripting box so you may not need to use job variables.

Best Regards,
Damian

Hi Damian,

Thanks for your response!!

I have a logic like batchdate = sysdate -1.. i need to pass the (sysdate -1) value in one Variable and i will use this variable in Transformation.

Thanks,

Hello Satya,

You’re very welcome.

Ok, rather than pass the sysdate value around in a job variable it might be worth you looking at the calculator component; available in a transformation job. More information is provided below.

This will allow you to add a new column (batchdate) and then in the expression box you’ll be able to write out your SQL calculation for the batch date column. With the calculator component you can also reference any of the columns from the dataset you’re working with and include them in your calculation.

Best Regards,
Damian
