Export Table Name for Audit logs

Hi Team,

Am trying to build an audit table with the environment variables, run time information of the components as a column, also we need to export the table name as a column to audit table.
Am unable to get the table name as a variable, please help me how to export the table name from the component.

Hi Achyuth,

Thanks for contacting support. Here is an article on Populating an Audit Table. Unfortunately, there is no way to export the table name from a component, but if you set the table name property with a variable, you can then use that variable in the same manner as the others.

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Thanks for helping me with the answer, i have implemented the above solution.

Also, am trying to assign the job name of the orchestration job to a variable for mapping the audit table. My orchestration job has multiple transformation jobs, one for the transformation and other for the audit table mapping.

But am getting the transformation job name instead when i try to do it. Also please let me know if we can export the automatic variables from one job to another like we do export the environmental variables.

Hi Achyuth ,

Create a job variable in your transformation job called something like parent_job_name. On the “Run Transformation” component in the parent job, set the scalar variable for parent_job_name to be ${job_name}.

Hi Paul,

I have created a job variable in my transformation job (${job_name}) and i assigned that job variable to scalar variable and then used that scalar variable to load the audit table by using fixed flow component in other transformation job.

But by this process, the issue is that am unable to assign the scalar variable of one transformation job to the job variable of another transformation job (in which my audit table load is happening).

Due to this, the audit table is not getting populated.

Could you please help us on how to assign the scalar variable of one transformation job to another.
